Cincinnati - Who would have thought when the divisions were announced back in April that the Mount Carmel Fire a team that has only won three games in two seasons would not only be leading the division but would be running away with it. No one out side of Mount Carmel that's for sure.

A division that is made up of the Tri-State Sharks who has a huge offensive line a great middle linebacker and a top tier running back. The Kentucky/Ohio Xtreme led by Tony Bray and a stable of running backs that could start on any team in Ohio, and a defense that can shut any team out at anytime. Then the Kentucky Wolverines who were picked to win the division as a nationally ranked team and has the top passing attack in the region.

Owner Kyle Dincler has been targeting players that will play well together and work as a team, the last piece of the puzzle was to bring in a coach that could take a solid core of classy players and get them all going in the right direction and that was Head Coach Derrick "DD" Davidson. Coach "DD's" biggest accomplishment this off season was getting the Fire to believe that they could win. Once the players bought into what Coach was selling things started to....catch Fire.

Mount Carmel currently has a 5-1 record in the USFA and are sitting on top on the world as they are the team to beat in Cincinnati and throughout the USFA. Maurice Lovett and Shawn Abdelmassih lead the Fire on the ground while Ricky "Chicken" Staley is handling the QB duties and does a great job at not turning the ball over and doing all of the little things to win football games.

Defensively the Fire work as a team to shut down opposing offensive's where one player might not be in position there are two more to fill his place. It is a team first attitude and they are proving with each week that they have the right ingredients to win a championship.

This week the Fire travel to play the North West Ohio Raisers and look to continue their tear through the USFA in a devastating, and professional manner. The Fire's next home game will be on July 25th at Anderson High School against their cross town rival, Kentucky/Ohio Xtreme and look to avenge their only loss of the season, kick off will be at 7:00pm.
