The Tri-State Sharks come out on top Sunday night in a 4 team 7 on 7 tournament that included the Kentucky/Ohio Xtreme, Mount Carmel Fire, and the Kings Comets. The Sharks first game came against the Kentucky/Ohio Xtreme which came down to the wire when Berry Issacs streaked past the Xtreme secondary for a touchdown with no time on the clock.

The Mount Carmel Fire used turnovers to get past the Kings Comets to play in the second game against the Tri-State Sharks. The Fire led by new coach Derrick Davidson look to be much improved in 2009 but in the end the Sharks beat the Fire in the second game to take the top honors.

Kentucky/Ohio Xtreme played the Kings Comets in the other game where wide receiver Phillip Barnett took over the game catching two touchdown passes from quarterback James Frazier. Rodney Stone from the Xtreme scored their only points off of an interception that he returned for a touchdown.
